You can hear it in Ada’s voice: Meals on Wheels delivers joy to seniors who were hungry and isolated before joining our community. During this time of rising senior need, donate today to improve quality of life for disabled seniors who cannot leave their homes.

We Deliver More Than Meals
Since 1977, Meals on Wheels of Chesapeake (MOWC) has provided nutritious home-delivered meals, safety checks, social connection, and care coordination for older and disabled homebound residents who live alone, cannot grocery shop or cook healthy meals, and have no assistance with meal prep.
Success Stories
Your being here to support me (I live alone) has greatly enhanced my confidence that I am not alone, and were I to need outside help, MOW staff would be there! Seriously! I do not naturally trust many folks, and I do not ask for anything. That said, you all have supported me during my time down to an extent far greater than what I signed on for…easily as healing and welcome as the food.
The volunteers are great and so cheerful. Having new faces is a blessing and the cards, candy, gifts are really nice. Thank you for working to provide seniors with food because some would go hungry without it!
Meals on Wheels has helped regulate my diet and has helped with medical conditions. I am very thankful for ALL they do! All of the volunteers are always a delight to see and talk to! I am very thankful for all the staff at Meals on Wheels. Thank you so much!

8:00 AM: A mountain of fresh ingredients.
9:30 AM: Assembly line moving at Olympic speeds, coffee kicking in, and debates over whether 80s rock or 90s country makes the trays pack faster.
10:15 AM: Coolers loaded, routes sorted, and our incredible drivers rolling out across the community.
Delivering meals to our senior neighbors is a mission, but our morning kitchen crew turns it into pure energy. Huge shout-out to the hands that chop, scoop, seal, and sort before most people have finished their second cup of coffee.
